MANILA, Philippines – K-pop fans in the Philippines will get to experience another dose of Super Junior through a 3D concert movie that will premiere in Manila in October.

Super Junior’s “Super Show 3 3D” concert movie will be shown in the Philippines on a limited run starting on October 14.

The concert movie was filmed during Super Junior’s “Super Show 3” concert in August last year at the Seoul Olympic Stadium in South Korea. It will showcase the performances of Super Junior during the concert.

In the Philippines, the concert movie will have its premiere night on Oct. 14 at Gateway Cineplex in Quezon City.

Regular screenings will follow at Gateway Cineplex on Oct. 15 and 16. The concert movie will also be shown in Cebu on Oct. 16 at SM Cebu Cinema.

The rest of the screening dates are: Oct. 23 at SM North EDSA Cinema 7; Oct. 29 – SM Megamall Cinema; Oct. 30 – SM Iloilo Cinema and SM Davao Cinema; and SM Pampanga Cinema on Oct. 22 or 31. Ticket price is P1,000.

“Super Show 3 3D” premiered in Korea last February where it sold 14,361 tickets from Feb. 24 to March 6. It was also shown in Thailand and is currently playing in selected cinemas in Singapore.

Besides getting excited to see the movie, there is a talk among Filipino fans that Super Junior members may visit the Philippines again to attend the premiere night.

Happee Sy, who is bringing the 3D concert movie to the country, said it will depend on a lot of things including the schedule of Super Junior.

“Not sure yet,” Sy told Bulletin Entertainment.

While there is a negotiation with SM Entertainment to bring members of the boy band to the Philippines, no final decision has been made on the matter.

“Super Show 3 3D” is directed by Kim Min-soo and Kim Hyeok-II.

110819 – Super Junior’s Donghae set to visit Taiwan for the premiere of their 3D concert movie

Despite being busy with their current promotions for “Mr. Simple,” Super Junior’s Donghae is confirmed to be attending the Taiwan screening of “Super Show 3 – Super Junior 3D Concert Movie” this month.

Representing the entire group for a short trip, Donghae is confirmed to participate in various press interviews for the premiere. He is set to fly to Taiwan on the 24th of August and will only make a short stop there totaling seven hours.

Despite their hectic schedule, Super Junior wanted to express their thanks for their supporters in Taiwan and they decided to send Donghae to represent the group. The visit is also part of Super Junior-M’s promise for their fans during their fanmeeting in the country last July.

In line with the promotions for the concert movie, AVEX Taiwan is also organizing an event as they begin to take pre-orders for their new album starting on the 24th. The new version of the album is set to go on sale in Taiwan on the 2nd of September.

110818 – Super Junior 3D Concert To Be Screened In Singapore Next Month

[ROUGH TRANSLATION]

With exclusive footages, not seen during the live Super Show 3 in Singapore, included in the movie, “Super Junior Super Show 3 3D” will be screened in Singapore (starting from) 1st September.

3D concert movies are slowing becoming a trend in Singapore; following Ayumi Hamasaki, Kylie Minogue, Mayday and 2AM’s, Golden Village (GV) will be exclusively screening SJ’s 3D concert movie.

When the movie was screened in Korea, overwhelming responses was received and after making its way into Taiwan’s cinemas next Friday, Singapore will take the lead as one of the earliest Southeast Asia’s countries to screen (the movie).

SJ’s 3D concert movie will be 80 minutes long, screening the first show of Super Show 3 held in Korea on 14th August 2010. With SJ, whose popularity is increasing across Asia, the movie will start off with their hit songs “Sorry Sorry” and “Bonamana”

Although SJ had tried to showcase all the performances through the stage layout (similar to Korea’shows) earlier this year, there are still some parts of the concert which they are unable to present it in Singapore. Hence, these exclusive footages will be revealed through the movie*

To Be Screened For A Week

For those who have seen the promotion video, they have been advised not to leave the cinema yet upon seeing the rolling credits because there are more scenes at the end of it. In addition, Chinese subtitles of members’ conversations and song lyrics from the concert will be included in the movie to further allow fans to understand and indulge in the film.

Due to the uncertainty regarding the local responses to 3D concert movies, the film will only be screened in Singapore for a week. As compared to Japanese singer Ayumi Hamasaki and International pop star Kylie Minogue (whose films) were only screened for 2 to 5 days, SJ’s 3D concert movie is considered as one with the “longest lifespan”.

The movie will be screened exclusively at selected Golden Village (GV) cinemas. Advance ticket sales will commence tomorrow (19th August 2011, Friday) to allow fans to pre-book their tickets for the movie screening at GV Marina Square and GV Plaza Singapura. Tickets can be booked either through GV website or GV ticket box office. Tickets are priced at SGD30 for non-members and SGD28 for GV members.

*performances during Korea SS3 but not in Singapore SS3 will be included in the movie.

110818 – Donghae Will Be The Special Guest for SS3 3D in Taiwan on August 24

On the eve of the release of Super Show 3 3D in Taiwan, Donghae will represent Super Junior and come to Taiwan to take part in the premier press conference. To be certain, on August 24 he will be on the KE691 plane that will arrive at 12:05pm at the Taoyuan International Airport. He will only be here for 7 hours so come and see him!

Super Junior has been busy promoting their new album “Mr. Simple”, but in order to thank Taiwan fans for their support, they’ve decided to send Donghae as a representative. At the beginning of June SJM had a fanparty in Taiwan where they said they put their trust in fans that the theaters will be packed for Super Show 3 in 3D, and that there will be an explosive response from their new song “Mr. Simple”. Avex Taiwan starting from the 24th will accept pre-orders for the album. The album will be in stores starting from September 2.
