Debut: He auditioned at SM Entertainment Global Auditions in Toronto, Ontario in 2006. He was chosen, and debuted in 2007 in the music video “Don’t Don” with Super Junior. In 2008, he was added to Super Junior M and they debuted in China on April 8th, 2008.
Solo Debut: June 7th, 2013
Controversy: Before debuting in Super Junior M, Henry appeared in Super Junior’s Don’t Don Music video. This caused a huge unnecessary controversy among fellow ELF (Super Junior’s fandom). There were rumours that Henry was going to be the 14th member of Super Junior, so this “ONLY 13” campaign began. This controversy was stopped, when SM Entertainment announced that Henry will be part of Super Junior M.

- 16 year-old, Toronto’s Henry Lau, achieved great results for his level 10 violin exam at The Royal Conservatory of Music. He received a silver medal and the award ceremony was held on the 27th.
- Henry composed a song called ‘진심(All My Heart)’ for Super Junior’s 4th repackage album, with Leeteuk.
- Henry’s areas of expertise lie in violin, piano, popping and singing. He began violin lessons at the age of six. After only one year of dancing, Henry was competing in dance (popping) competitions and shows.
- Henry made a solo debut on June 7th, 2013 with his mini album “TRAP”
